    5 - Excellent
“The Manaslu Trek is somewhat less famous than the Annapurna Circuit but it is very similar to it in terms of the actual circuit. The trail starts in Arughat and ends in Besisahar (which is the start of Annapurna) and takes about 14 days. Along the way you move past Manaslu - the eight highest mountain peak in the world - and cross the Larke Pass at approximately 5100m in altitude.

The best feature of the Manaslu Trek is that only few people walk the trail so it is very nice and calm. The teahouses are very good and the trail is restored surprisingly well after the 2015 earthquake. We only encountered some landslides we had to cross. All in all a highly recommendable trail for those who seek a quiet and peaceful trail as alternative to Annapurna. The only thing is it comes with a somewhat higher price since the permit is somewhat more expensive and you have to have a guide with you along the way.”
FANTASTIC TRIP!
“We're just back from the Manaslu Circuit trek and it was an amazing experience.

The first days involve quite long hours of walking to get into the conservation area.
Manaslu circuit has amazing scenery and is definitely manageable (there is just one tough day when crossing the Larke pass) without a lot of previous experience in the mountains. The further you go, the nicer the scenery is. We had great weather during the entire trip, which made the scenery even more stunning! There are several spots and excursions during the trek with great views of the Manaslu itself.

Ram, our guide and Raju, our porter, were great! Ram is a knowledgable guide with 22 years experience who was very funny, chatty, caring, cheerful and took good care of us throughout the trip. He was very flexible, giving information and allowing us to make decisions about small changes to the itinerary (you have to be a bit flexible due to uncontrollable things like landslides etc).”
